Waste Free Events
WASTE FREE EVENTS make it easy for anyone to run an event and ensure it has little or no waste. We do this by promoting the waste free message, providing re-usable crockery instead of single use items and monitoring the bins to ensure everything goes in the correct bin so items can be composted and recycled. We support schools and community groups and can even hire kits for smaller private functions.

Aren't paper items the answer?
Unfortunately the single use items that are used by the majority of food vendors are not just paper. In order to keep liquid inside they have a plastic coating. A lot of items now use a plant based plastic which is better than oil based however it requires a commercial composting process to breakdown correctly. Currently we don't have the infrastructure and waste collection services to support this so it all ends up in landfill.
